Surprise!

We started trying for baby number 2 in mid-December 2014, but it wasn't God's beautiful and perfect timing YET. We had some spiritual growing to do. Our marriage came under attack on the last day of February 2015 and almost immediately God, who is always the answer intervened and changed our hearts, marriage and priorities. Can't praise God enough!! We continued to try and sometime in March we conceived our second blessing! I had a scheduled pap smear appointment on 3/24 with my sweet OB/GYN, Dr. Bethany Peterson and I mentioned to her that we'd been trying since December and that my period was expected this week. She suggested a pregnancy test and I agreed and to my surprise I had a positive reading!! I was shocked! I somehow managed not to cry until I told Carlos and then we both got very emotional. We thank God for this new life growing inside of me. We're excited and praying for a healthy baby. Of course I checked the Chinese baby gender chart and it says I'm having a boy, but I know God has the final say and He will give us what we need. I need that constantly repeated because I've always dreamed of a little girl. We shall see. I want my baby shower to be a gender reveal party with a nautical theme. I want to know baby's gender and would tell family, but want reveal to be to friends. So far the only symptom is I'm constantly having to pee. I have vowed to kick coffee to the curb. I read the effects of caffeine while pregnant and I'm done with it! I am 4 weeks pregnant and thrilled!! Let the baby baking, shopping and preparing begin!!
